Discover the transformative power of yoga in our 10-week Intro to Yoga course, designed specifically for beginners. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or looking to build a strong foundation, this class will gently guide you into the world of yoga with warmth and support. Throughout the course, you’ll learn to connect mind, body, and spirit through key elements of yoga practice, including: Pranayama (breathwork): Explore foundational breathing techniques to calm the mind and energize the body. Asana (postures): Practice basic yoga poses with a focus on alignment, strength, and flexibility. Savasana (relaxation): Discover the art of deep relaxation and its benefits for stress relief and inner peace. History/ Philopsophy Gain insights into yoga’s ancient roots and how its teachings remain practical today, with a brief introduction to its rich history and philosophy. This course is perfect for anyone curious about yoga and seeking a welcoming space to begin their practice. By the end of 10 weeks, you’ll feel more at ease in your body, calmer in your mind, and confident in your ability to continue your yoga journey. ALL SIZES and ABILITIES welcome (including prenatal). Adaptations are available for all! Classes can be made up by attending other classes on the schedule.
